Status:

Married to my lovely wife Peggy, who sometimes helps out at Coastal Cottage.

Fur babies:

Merlot, a Tibetan Spaniel mix, who is also one of the store mascots.

Where are you from:

Born and raised in Germany, yet living in and enjoying the United States of America since 2001. I am a US Citizen since January of 2010.

Where do you live now:

After traveling 4+ years full time with our motorhome, we are back on lovely Amelia Island.

Work history:

After a 15 year career as an officer in the German Air Force I worked mainly in the digital printing equipment business in Germany. This industry brought me to the US in 2001 as an executive for Heidelberg Printing Machines working for a joint venture with Eastman Kodak. After some years in sales and process consulting we settled in Fernandina Beach and I was employed as Sales and Marketing Director for Science First, a company that designed, produced and marketed science education equipment for the classroom. It was rewarding to spend the last years of my business career in science education especially since I have a degree in engineering and love science and astronomy.

What I am doing when not working for CCOA:

I enjoy traveling, taking photographs (architecture, landscapes, people), and dedicating time to our community (Rotary and Church).

What do you love most about working at CCOA:

Our customers and products, a great team, and excellent leadership.

Working at CCOA allows me to apply my process improvement experience and to have fun at the same time.

Having worked in sales it is very rewarding to be dedicated to customer service and to make a contribution to customer satisfaction in my role in the back office.
