Why Our Furniture Is Different
There are plenty of furniture stores in Florida. Most of them stock whatever sells fastest in the widest possible market. We do something different: we curate specifically for Amelia Island homes.
That means furniture built for coastal durability — pieces that handle the salt air, the humidity, and the real-life demands of a beach or island home without sacrificing beauty. It means brands whose craftsmanship we have examined and trust. And it means a showroom where every piece is selected because it belongs — not because it is the most affordable option in the catalogue.
Custom Furniture Orders on Amelia Island
Most furniture at Coastal Cottage of Amelia can be ordered in custom configurations. If you need a sofa in a specific size, a dining table in a particular finish, or a bedroom set in a fabric that matches your existing decor, our design team handles the specification and ordering process from start to finish.

The Furniture Brands We Carry
Canadel
Canadian-made dining room and bedroom furniture known for exceptional quality, customisability, and craftsmanship. Canadel offers thousands of configuration options — the right table for any dining space, in the finish, size, and chair combination that fits your home exactly.
Norwalk Furniture
American-made upholstered furniture — sofas, sectionals, chairs, and ottomans — with an extraordinary range of custom fabric options. Norwalk is a favourite for clients who want a sofa or sectional built precisely for their space. Most orders deliver in 2 to 4 weeks.
Caracole
Statement furniture that balances art and function. Caracole pieces have an unmistakable character — bold finishes, sophisticated silhouettes, and the kind of design confidence that transforms a room. Perfect for clients who want their home to feel genuinely designed.
Jonathan Charles
Luxury furniture crafted to the standards of fine antiques. Jonathan Charles combines traditional craftsmanship techniques with contemporary design, producing accent tables, cabinets, and statement pieces with exceptional attention to detail.
Made Goods
Contemporary furniture and accessories with a distinctive, design-forward aesthetic. Made Goods pieces serve as the finishing touch that elevates a room from well-furnished to intentionally curated.
A.R.T. Furniture
A complete range of bedroom, dining, and accent furniture with a strong coastal and transitional design sensibility. A.R.T. is one of our core lines for clients who want cohesive, complete room solutions.
Uttermost and Revelation by Uttermost
Decorative accessories, accent furniture, mirrors, and lighting. Uttermost and its Revelation line provide the layered details that make a room feel finished — from statement mirrors to accent tables and curated vignette pieces.
Palecek
Natural material furniture and accessories with a distinctly coastal, artisanal character. Palecek's rattan, seagrass, and woven pieces bring warmth and texture to coastal interiors.
Our Design Philosophy for Furniture Selection
When we help a client select furniture, we start with three questions: How do you actually use this room? What does your home need to feel like? And what is already there that we need to work with or around? The answers to those three questions guide everything else.
For Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach homes, we also think specifically about coastal Florida conditions: the salt air and humidity that affect certain materials, the need for fabrics that handle sand and sunscreen with grace, and the way coastal light changes throughout the day and needs to be planned for in both furniture placement and finish selection.
